Rites of the Cleansing
(Before the Rites of Donning)

Rites of The Cleansing

  • Meditate upon your special purpose for wanting to be cleansed; If you discover that your purpose is to serve the self, go no further. If you discover that your purpose is to serve other than yourself, take the next step;

  • Under the following conditions, go bathe. Go to the bathing place; Disrobe completely; Enter the water within which you will bathe; Bathe slowly as you meditate upon the following affirmation:

  • Narrow is the path that leads to perfection. The road is paved with dangers that will easily lead the seeker astray. Best, be I, therefore, keen in sight! Listen, shall I, to the still small, but true, voice that is within me. The way is steep, long, and troublesome. To walk this path is to most always walk alone, and, to walk under the tormenting, disapproving glances from those who I think I love.

    Wide is the path that leads to the fires of damnation. Its path is paved with good intentions, rationalization, and deceit. To walk this path is to walk in fame, splendor, and to be one among many, each trying to look better in the eyes of Man without regards to the road's end; sorrow and rejection are the gifts as rewards. To seek truths is to search for wisdom. Know, do I, that knowledge is of the flesh, while wisdom is of the Ka's essence. Know, do I, that few are those who find the path to perfection, fewer still are those who follow its ends. Indeed, narrow is the path to perfection, wide and pleasant is the road to hell!

  • When bathing is completed, remove yourself from the water within which you have bathed.

  • Use a clean white (the towel must be plain white) towel to completely dry yourself.

  • Perform the next step in your purpose for having performed The Rites Of Cleansing.
