Hell Of One's Own Thoughts: The price for Individuality
(Did we really create it ourselves?)

"There is an old saying that one should be careful when asking for something; they just might get it! However funny the old saying might be, it is indeed true; especially when one is caught in the game of If Only I Could.

"The Hell of one's own thoughts is the state of being wherein it is one's own thoughts which will determine all that will be believed, all that will determine the nature of truth, and, all that will determine what is good in any given situation and what is not. This is especially true within the reality of The Earth Experience (see Fig. #1).

"Due to the nature of the Earth experience's reality, any being who descends to this level becomes trapped. Once an entity uses his free-will to descend to this level, the laws he used to bring him here are the self same laws that keep him here.

"Once an individual becomes trapped, it is impossible for him to free himself--he needs help from an outside source. In part, this is because the process of descent invokes veils of forgetfulness, preventing the individual from accessing abilities and wisdom that he does, in fact, have at all times.

"On account of the fact that Earth becomes an inescapable trap for its inhabitants, its watchword is Abandon all hope ye who enter. With the advent of the New Covenant, however, the watchword becomes Abandon all hope ye who enter need not be.

"The New Covenant is the promise that the Universal Forces have made to Man. The promise is that any individual who truly seeks wisdom and understanding will gain the opportunity to be taught the same. It is a promise that Man can escape from the trap of Earth if he follows the path that will be made known to him by the Servants of the Universal Forces.

"However, the individual's motives must be pure to take part in this wisdom. He must be living his life in such a way that he does as little harm to other Life-forms as is possible. Before the individual is allowed to leave the Earth experience he must be able to cry for love and with love, as opposed to crying because he feels the pain that is the natural reward for his deeds. This ability is essential if one is to make full use of the wisdoms of the New Covenant.

"If Man would study himself, the subject matter of all the lessons would, in fact, be the proponents of the New Covenant--the necessary steps in freeing oneself from the trap of Earth.

"There are many schools of thought that are seeking to understand where the limits to the hell that our own thinking, and the hell of the thinking of others, can be placed within any given reality. As an example, please consider the following:

  1. " Hell-of-One's-own-thoughts: The prime basis for the power of the trap which is called The reality that binds The Grand Maya.
  2. " Hell-of-One's-own-thoughts: The state wherein, in any given situation, an individual is seldom thinking on the proper level; and, that makes it impossible for him to understand everything that is really happening to him. The only thing he knows is that he feels. But, he does not know that it is his feelings that are really in control of his behavior, of his thinking process, and therefore, of his entire life. In other words, what he thinks is what he becomes. If his thoughts bring him to unpleasantness, he is said to be in hell; a hell of his own creation. Hence, the Hell Of One's Own Thoughts.
  3. " Hell-of-One's-own-thoughts: The state wherein the illusions of life, as it were, determine the nature of the pleasurable experience, or the nature of the degree of pain that is designed to cause a change in the attitude of the beholder.
  4. " Hell-of-One's-own-thoughts: The state wherein one is rewarded, in an after-life experience, for good deeds and/or punished for evil deeds [evil being any and all deeds that are contrary to the belief system that rules the reality of the Church of the times].

"The above are but a few seemingly contrary thoughts that seek to set the limits of heaven and/or the limits of hell. However, many have come to realize that reality, or more likely the limits of reality, are strange, indeed. They have discovered that there are two concepts that are so intertwined that the limits of the one seem to be the limits, or at least the delimiters of the other--Hell of one's own thoughts, and The Brotherhood of the Chain.

"To better understand the concept of The Brotherhood Of The Chain, and the impact that the concept would have upon individuals who followed the Arkashean Way, please consider the following excerpt from The Book Of Earth:

"The Sons of Oneness looked down upon their counterparts; and they did perceive the nature of the cycles of Life and Death that did bind them unto Matter. For, indeed, they were trapped in the Hell of their own thoughts. They were hopeless, and sightless of the law in their graves.

"Through the powers of love, and, driven by the unison of will, much did the Sons of Oneness suffer as they did create a great ladder of themselves.

"Armed with the knowledge of the limits of the veils of forgetfulness that did divide each level of the descent, fortified with their ability to remain slightly above the law that did govern each of the nine major levels of Matter, certain were they of the limits within each of the subdivisions within each major level, and, secure were they in their ability to communicate, the Sons of Oneness did arrange themselves such that a great Chain of Beings was forged from the highest to the lowest levels of the face of the Earth Experience.

"Each link of the chain remained far enough above the effects of the law of each level that he [the member in question] retained continuity of the whole, but not so far that each link did not experience the trap of the cycles of Life and Death that did bind Man to his grave.

"Soon the ladder of forces discovered that as it also followed the descent of Man into the grossness of Matter, less and less were they able to influence the residents of each level. Until, finally, the darkness veiled all things.

"Though Man had eyes, he could not see the brightness of his origins. Though Man had ears, he could not hear the yearnings of his highest self, which echoed the teachings of the Ladder. Though Man could feel, he could not touch, nor be touched by the Ka of another. Uniqueness had, indeed, claimed its prize.

"The light of each man became less and less bright as each lined his own grave with the deeds of Lies, Deceit, Falsehoods, Murder, Rape, Pillage, War, and other Games that served to further divide Man from his original greatness, setting each the other's nemesis.

"The basic laws of lower, physical Earth became Eat And Be Eaten, Kill, And Be Killed. Indeed, it echoed the symbol of its being--Abandon hope ye who enter here! And, thus was it writ upon the door of their graves.

"As the Ladder lowered its rungs of beings into the levels of their graves--the grosser Matter, more and more it became impossible to execute its task; for the darkness was sore upon the face of the Earth. Finally, at the end of the Ladder of Beings, it became necessary to give mobility to the last link, thus making it the most powerful link of the Chain of Beings--in so doing, the Hound of Hell came into being.

"This Chain of Beings who descended upon the Earth for the purpose of allowing the residents of Maya the choice of freeing themselves from their trap is referred to as the Brothers of the chain.

"Although the brothers sought to aid Man, the Trapped Ones, Man's want after the lust of the satisfaction of unfulfilled emotions did much to continue Man's limitations. At this reading, Man has only two tools with which he can effect change within himself--pain and patience. Pain, in some form or another, is always the stimulus for change. Unfulfilled needs, unfulfilled wants, and unfulfilled interest are but three of the many sources of pain that drive Man to one extent or another.

"Patience, on the other hand, enters into consideration because of Automatic-pilot. Without sufficient patience, Automatic-pilot will never get changed. One must constantly interfere with the old programming until the change, the new programming is stabilized, or the old program will re-assert itself.

"It is a little difficult to understand just why Maya is such a trap. However, if one understands that The World of Illusion is the Driving Force For Reality, it becomes easier to realize that it is one's own thoughts that determine what an individual will believe, what is true, and what is not true, what is good in any given situation and what is not.

"That is the basis of the trap. An individual is seldom thinking on the proper level to understand everything that is really happening to him or her. All they know is that they feel and that their feelings are what is really in control of their behavior, of their thinking process, and therefore, of their entire life. In other words, what they think is what they become. If their thoughts bring them to unpleasantness, they are said to be in hell...a hell of their own creation. Hence, the Hell of their own thoughts.

"The second of the two intertwining concepts has just as much of an impact upon individuals who follow the Arkashean Way as did the first. Please consider the following excerpt from the Book Of Earth. It seeks to explain how the Hound of hell is related to The Hell of one's Own Thoughts:

""When it was discovered that those who had descended into the reality that governed Maya had, indeed, descended into a trap from which they could not escape without outside help, Beings who had not descended into reality, the trap of Maya, formed of themselves a great chain whereby they could reach down into reality, into this trap to retrieve them. It was a type of safety line.

""However, when this Chain of Beings was created--the Chain is called Brothers of the Chain--it was discovered that the darkness within reality, within Maya made it necessary to give the last member of the Chain Of Beings special powers. It was discovered that the last member needed a special type of mobility in order that it could touch the Ka of each individual that was trapped. It was discovered that without this special mobility, the trapped individuals could not, or would not pay any attention to the teachings of the Chain of Beings, nor to the message of Freedom which it brought.

"However, it was also discovered that to give the last member special powers, the Chain of Beings had to evoke the same Spell of Individuality that the residents of The Earth Experience used to, seemingly, separate themselves from the whole. Almost too late, it was discovered that it was mainly the Spell of Individuality that caused each resident of The Earth Experience to become trapped.

"To satisfy all of karmic law's needs, the Spell Of Individuality was evoked in a special illusion--the last member of the Chain of Beings was given the ability to seem to be among the trapped individuals without actually being of the trap of reality's Maya. It was a way of being, or seeming to be trapped in Maya, therefore being on the same level as those who were trapped without actually being trapped. Because of the special illusion that was woven around the Spell Of Individuality, the individual who was trapped could look upon the Hound-of-hell and see just another being, just another individual with wisdom; this allowed any trapped individual, without destroying that individual's individuality, the ability to accept the Hound-of-hell's teachings as a new reference point, one that allowed them to understand the laws of the trap that they found themselves in; and, because their Spell of Individuality remained intact, they could, if they chose, continue to play the same games that trapped them originally. This last link of the Chain of Beings is called the Hound-of-hell."
