Akhenaten: Pharaoh Of Egypt:
(Did he die for believing in only one God?)
Part 2:

The third disagreement, and perhaps the largest, concerned Akhetaten. The Amen Reites knew that Thutmosis III must die soon. They knew that Akhenaten intended to move the seat of power to Akhetaten. All the temples of Amen Re were in Thebes. The hall of Pharaoh was in Thebes. Why then did Akhenaten insist on building his new city? Wasn't Thebes good enough for him?

Akhenaten explained the reasons for the new city. The Amen Reites balked. "But all the temples of Amen Re are in Thebes. They are the work of lifetimes. Thebes has always been the center of Egypt. Do you expect us to move everything to Akhetaten, just because you say that it is the true center of Egypt? Do you expect us to give up our ideas of many gods, just because you say there is only one God? Do you expect us to believe that you, a young man, have access to wisdom as great or greater than ours, which we have guarded for lifetimes?"

"Yes," replied Akhenaten, "if you want to share in the new wisdom you will have to give up your old ways."

What was really happening here was that the Amen Reites knew that if they moved to Akhetaten with Akhenaten, their power base would be all but destroyed. They knew that Akhenaten had not the heart to use religion as a means of gaining power and wealth. What they were trying to do was to get him to sanction them in their continued efforts to do so. That, Akhenaten would not do. The Amen Reites were left with the following: Akhenaten was giving them the chance to partake of the new wisdom. In order to take it, they would have to abandon both, their use of religion as mind control and the stubbornness that their ways was the final word and the ultimate authority.

Understand one thing. To the Amen Reites, it was very important that Pharaoh accept their ways. Only thus could their temple continue to exist as it had for so many years. Akhenaten, however, did not feel the same. He was going to do what he had to do. He was going to share his newly found wisdom with the people. If the temple of Amen Re lost prestige and power, well that was unfortunate, but unavoidable. They could exist as best they could, but Akhenaten could not sanction their ways.

Due to their stubbornness and their corruption, the Amen Reites decided to keep to their own ways. Of course, this meant that they were now in a complete power struggle with Akhenaten. They did everything they could to discredit and/or humiliate him and his followers in the eyes of the people of Egypt. The Amen Reites had proven that they valued power over wisdom.

Eventually, Akhenaten's father Pharaoh Thutmosis III died. During the funeral procession, the priests of Amen Re, as a whole, made a derogatory noise--a booing or hissing of sorts. It was designed to publicly make known their disrespect and disapproval of Akhenaten, who was to ascend the throne immediately following the procession.

Akhenaten was no fool. He knew that the Amen Reites would like nothing better than to have him killed and take power for themselves. He, also, knew that a good part of the army gave its allegiance to the house of Amen Re. He knew that this public display of scorn meant that the Amen Reites felt that they wielded the real power and were in the process of trying to wrest it from him.

Akhenaten's response to the priest's actions were thus: Firstly, he ordered all temples of Amen Re pillaged and then utterly destroyed. Secondly, he ordered all priests of Amen Re to serve in his new temple, consecrated to the GreatForce. Of course, the priests tried to resist this, and many were put to death.

At this late date, we can not know exactly what was in Akhenaten's mind when he did this, but we can surmise. It is probable that he had the temples destroyed because the priests had proven that they were only concerned with political power. If that was their only reason for existence, they did not deserve to exist. Pharaoh was the supreme political power. The temples were supposed to be for spirituality. The temples of Amen Re were not serving this purpose. Also, it is probable that if Akhenaten had not struck at the Amen Reites they would have struck at him, and Akhenaten knew this.

Historians don't realize that Akhenaten was the world's first pacifist.
They see him as a weak-willed ruler who did not know how to control an army.

Thus, Akhenaten ascended the throne and moved the capitol to Akhetaten.

Somewhere around this time, the power of Egypt in the rest of the world began to wane. Military counselors begged Akhenaten to send out more troops to put down rebellions in occupied territories. Akhenaten, however, was a man of peace. He was not about to send men to their death for no other reason than the 'glory' of the Egyptian empire, an empire that was built by spilling the blood of innocent people who were only trying to keep their freedom. Akhenaten knew that killing was an abomination, and, he wanted no part of it if it could be avoided. Thus, the Egyptian influence in the rest of the world began to wane--the army became very worried.

This pacifistic attitude was just one more thing that caused others, particularly the Amen Reites, to hate Akhenaten even more. After all, a large portion of the spoils of war went to the temples of AmenRe. The military, to a high degree also began to hate Akhenaten as they saw their influence begin to wane. This was one of the biggest reasons why many military men gave their allegiance to the house of Amen Re.

In order that the wisdom given to him never be lost, Akhenaten instructed one of the scribes of the temple of the Aten to record the content of all his visions. This scribe, named Tarraot, took the teachings to heart, and he became The Lord High Priest of the Cloister which resided within the Temple of the Aten. The tablets he inscribed later became known as the tablets of the High Priest Tarraot. Much, much later, they became known as Tarot cards.

The High Priest Tarraot, together with those who faithfully followed the teachings of the Aten as given to Akhenaten, escaped the massacre as they fled into the land of Hebron and settled among the Hokites. There, they became known as Essenes of The Great White Brotherhood (Essenes, by the Hokites, were thought to be The Holy ones, or Those who hold themselves apart, or The Healers, or The Law Keepers), then they became known as Essenes of The Monastery of Arkashea.

The phrase Monastery of Arkashea was used because the Essenes followed a strict life-style. They cloistered themselves within the walls of Akhenaten's great Temple of Light at Akhetaten. They dedicated themselves to the higher aspects of life. They gave up sex, drugs, and other earthly pleasures in order to advance spiritually.

Arkashea [then pronounced A-Ka-She-A], itself, was the state of mind that the Essenes were striving toward. For now, let us say that Arkashea is a word symbolizing the first thought--Man's first experience of freewill. Man's first experience of being himself... being separate from the GreatForce. The state that we call Arkashea is highly significant. We will study it at great length at a later date. The Essenes' customary dress was a pure white robe garnished by a flame colored hood. The white represented the purity of their purpose for being, while the flaming hood represented the Aten, or the moment of Arkashea.

The term "White Brotherhood" was originally coined by the Amen Reites and other unbelievers as they scoffed at the dress and mannerisms of Pharaoh's inner circle of believers. Pharaoh took the name to heart as he realized the truth inherent in it. Thus, we came into being, and we have ever since been known as Essenes of The Great White Brotherhood, Essenes of the Monastery of Arkashea, or simply Arkasheans.

While we call all the followers of the new way Essenes, there is really more to it than that. There were some who were indoctrinated into the most arcane wisdom. These were the Brothers Of The Chain. Others shared in the wisdom, but did not have the background to take advantage of it fully.

The Brothers Of The Chain actually existed long, long, long before Earth was, itself, was created. They are beings whose only purpose is to help entities who have trapped themselves in Maya--the dream of separation from the GreatForce. Still, the Brothers Of The Chain had to wait until an Earth man became a Brother before they could influence events upon Earth directly. Akhenaten was the first man of Earth, in this epoch, to become a member of the original The Brothers Of The Chain.

It was the greatest event in the spiritual history of the TwinSpecies:Human up to that point. Akhenaten became what is known as a "Standard Bearer." A Standard Bearer is an individual who has done something so great that the Universe uses that individual's deed as the standard by which all others of the same kind are compared.

In retrospect, we can see that Akhenaten made a big mistake when he tried to bring the priests of Amen Re into the temple of the Aten. Perhaps he hoped that they would eventually become enamored with the new wisdom. Perhaps he could not bring himself to have other human beings killed. Who can say why a man does what he does?

Many of these priests either could not, or would not accept the new ways. They did not want to abandon the concept of many Gods. Many were still followers of Amen Re in their hearts--they did not want to trade their past political power for true wisdom. Many were so impure of heart that the GreatForce would not touch them with its wisdom. As the majority of the priests rejected the teachings of the GreatForce, so, too, did the commoners of Egypt.

With so many against him, Pharaoh Akhenaten's demise was inevitable. He was murdered through the machinations of the priests of Amen Re. Specifically, he was poisoned by a general in his own army--Horemhab, who gave his allegiance to the Amen Reites.

The priests of Amen Re placed Akhenaten's younger brother-by-law, Tutankhamen, on the throne of Egypt to serve as a puppet king. When Tutankhamen could no longer be controlled, he, too, was killed. The priests of Amen Re then placed Horemhab upon the Throne, thus fulfilling an earlier promise. In time they killed him, as well; and, with the combined power of the army and the power of the priests of Amen Re, the High Priest of Amen Re ascended the throne of Pharaoh.

The temples sacred to the Aten were sacked and pillaged. The temples themselves were destroyed, and the materials were used to rebuild the temples of Amen Re and others, in cities throughout Egypt. Those in power tried to obliterate every trace of Akhenaten's life and teachings. The hatred of Akhenaten was not soon dissipated. At least three Pharaohs spent much of their time wiping out any trace of his memory. We do not think that it was beyond their efforts to confuse Akhenaten's birthright. After all, the priests of Amen Re believed that if a man lost his lineage, that man was forever lost in time.

Any information that did remain was highly distorted. This is one reason why there is so much misinformation concerning Akhenaten among today's historians.

The members of the Great White Brotherhood were hunted down and killed wherever they were found; this was the first time in history that a massacre was performed for religion's sake.

Again, in retrospect, if Akhenaten had executed all the priests of Amen Re, perhaps the temple of the Aten would still be standing. Sadly, the world will never know.

One of the great ironies is that Pharaoh Akhenaten is really the only true Pharaoh Egypt ever had, and he was murdered. We say this because a Pharaoh's right to rule was, allegedly, granted by divine right and not by might of arms. In actuality, it was granted by inheritance from father to offspring. Akhenaten was the only Pharaoh who had been contacted by the Divine Forces. Akhenaten's right to rule was confirmed by this contact. All the other Pharaohs had been political appointments--they had no contact with the Divine.

As far as the Essenes are concerned, Akhenaten was, is, and shall be the only Pharaoh that Egypt ever had or will have. The people of Earth will never know peace until Pharaoh once again sits upon the throne of Egypt.

The Essenes had not been totally unprepared for the possibility of this tragedy. Many of them fled from Egypt in time to avoid being executed. They took with them the records of the wisdom of Pharaoh Akhenaten's visions. This is one reason why they were hunted unrelentingly--the Amen Reites did not want the world to know of the new brotherhood and its message of peace.

To avoid being found, the Essenes went underground, so to speak. They simply melted into the society of whatever land they fled to. They did not publicly speak of The Way, nor did they openly distinguish themselves from the local populace, neither by mannerisms nor by dress. They sought out no students. They let people come to them of their own freewill. To this day, the true Essenes operates in the same manner. If you ever come into contact with a group that preaches or actively seeks out students, you can be sure of two things--that group does not practice the true Arkashean way, and/or that group has lost things over the ages.

Not all the Essenes fled to the same place--they scattered to the four winds. In this way, their wisdom was spread to the ends of the Earth. Thus, as a seed is destroyed to give rise to a flower, Pharaoh Akhenaten's death gave rise to many of the modern day religions.

Understand that all of the above history is contained, in a more condensed form, in our book of Law, the first 'pages' of which were the clay tablets of the High Priest Tarraot.

We now present the pertinent part of this book verbatim:

All thusly did Pharaoh resolve to do: He set forth a special scribe into the Temple of the Aten and bid the scribe to for all time record the 'visions' on clay tablets. He bid the Priests of the Temple to, upon the pains of life, protect and preserve the 'way' for all time.

The special scribe, exceedingly taken of heart by the Aten, became the High Priest of the Cloister within the Temple of the Aten. Thus was his devotion so taut. The High Priest gathered about a special band of men to worship in the temples. Special, were they, who were accepted within the most high circle. Pharaoh himself became the seed. Because many people scorned the new teachings, and did ridicule the manner of dress, of countenance, and did call the special band 'Pharaoh's White Brotherhood', Pharaoh Akhenaten took their barb to face.

To show his contempt for those who still refused to embrace the new 'way', He called his gathering Essenes of the Great White Brotherhood. The word "Essenes" was chosen because the new 'way' believed in the essence of the GreatForce that created all things. The word 'Great' was chosen because this special band of men learned to become ONE with the GreatForce. Finally, the phrase 'White Brotherhood' was chosen because he understood the measure of 'Truth' discovered in the people's barb.

The new 'way' was indeed, the true Brotherhood of Mankind. What was done to the least of Man was done to the greatest of all men, in the self same act. And, so, what was done to the least of Man was done unto the GreatForce. To attack a creation is to attack the creator. In a sense, the Created, became, by law, an issue from the Great Original Cause. Thus, the Fruit of all creation--Man, became the Son of the GreatForce.

Lo, was it thus that we, Essenes of the Monastery of Arkashea, Essenes of the Great White Brotherhood came into being.

Those who embraced the new 'way' were given the opportunity to share the wisdom brought forth from the 'visions'. Some could not be accepted because of their untouchable state. Some could not be accepted because of their known alliance with old Gods of Egypt--they could not or would not forsake the concept of many gods for the new concept of only 'one' God--the Aten, whose symbol was the 'Sun'.

Still others could not be accepted because of their known alliance to the Priests of the Temples of Amen Re--the Hidden, the Secret, aspects of the power of creation. Secrets that the priests of Amen Re withheld from the people in their efforts to contain them within their fear, and, thereby, to control them. Their's were the seed of the destruction of the Temples of the Aten. Destruction was on the wings of the priest's hatred for the loss of political power, and the loss of a measure of control over the people. It was well known by all the people of the double kingdom that the Priest of the Temple of Amen Re desired the complete destruction of both, the Pharaoh Akhenaten--for his abandonment of Amen Re--, and for the new 'way'--because it was a threat from one of Egypt's smaller unknown Gods from the Temples of Heliopolis--unlike Amen Re who was the secret aspects of creation, Heliopolis was not the secret, but was, in fact, that part of creation which was, every day, experienced by all the peoples of the Earth through the great manifestations of the sun's corona--The Aten, .giver of 'Life' upon the Earth as a result of the GreatForce's laws of creation.

So was it that many people of the land refused to embrace the new 'way'. Many were too old and too steadfast to change. Others refused to change because of the political power that the Old Gods of Egypt gave them over the people of the double kingdom. Still others refused to change because of the errors made by the scribe priests who taught the new 'way' to the people. They, the priests, tried to teach others concepts they themselves did not understand in their hearts. Faithfully did they execute their obligations to the Aten. But their hearts were empty. Their rituals were empty gestures in the face of the symbol of the Aten--The GreatForce that created all things.

The errors made by the priest scribes only served to frighten and confuse the people they were trying to instruct. They, being still in their hearts followers of Amen Re, could not understand the design of the GreatForce. They could not accept as fact that the Pharaoh Akhenaten and not the High Priest of Amen Re was 'visited' by the GreatForce. Their's was truly an empty heart in the face of Pharaoh.

So it was with the advent of time, the clay tablets became known as the tablets of the High Priest Tarraot. The scribe Tarraot became skilled in the art of 'visions'. And, as was the custom of the times, the High Priest became known by the Brothers of Arkashea as Tarraot. Tarraot continued to instruct and maintain the Great White Brotherhood in the way of seclusion.

Thus it was the Great Scribe--called Tarraot--who ascended the High Priest of the Temples of the Aten, Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood after the death of Pharaoh Akhenaten--a death by murder committed by assassins who later raised his brother-by-law, the puppet Pharaoh of the double land to the throne of Egypt.

Thus was it also that the followers of the new 'way'--Essenes of the Great White Brotherhood--were hunted down as wild jackals. The temples of the Aten were, in turn, razed to the ground. All the treasures, all the grains, and many of the priests of the Temples of the Aten were debentured into the House of Amen Re when the puppet Pharaoh Tutankhamen ascended to the double crown.

In an effort to preserve the 'way', Tarraot entreated the Great White Brotherhood to leave the Double Lands. In a land seldom visited by the Crown of Egypt; there, they lived with a people called the Hokites. The Hokites were a peaceful people who worshipped the laws of nature. In time, however, they fell to heart with the teachings of Tarraot. All among the people Hokites embraced the new 'way'. They did abandon their false gods of the Earth.

The destruction of the Temples of the GreatForce whose symbol among the people is the Aten, shall demand the complete destruction of the House of Thebes. The empty House of Amen Re shall be raised to the double crown. The double lands shall be ruled by barbarians for over a thousand years. So was it made known to the Great Scribe Tarraot. He who took it upon himself to murder Pharaoh, shall, himself, be murdered. Karma so decrees, Each unto his own kind. While a man may use the greatness of his own heart to forgive the harm done to him by another, Karma forgives nothing.

The High Priest Tarraot was one of the fortunate ones who escaped Egypt. He was skilled in the art of visions, and had contact with the Universal Forces. Thus, he ascended to the throne of Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood.

Tarraot, along with some of the Brotherhood, escaped into a land north of Egypt called Hebron. There dwelt a people known as the Hokites.

The Hokites were the ancestors of only some of the peoples that we today call Jews; one of the many flowers made possible through the destruction of the Great Seed. During this phase of our reading, we will intersperse the actual writings from our Ancient Book of Law with commentaries which, we hope, will aid the student's understanding.

Thus, it was, in time, that the people who knew the GreatForce in their hearts were corrupted.

When the Aten's people were forced to leave Egypt, many went into the land of Hebron, and there lived with a wandering people called the Hokites.

The Hokites were a peaceful people who worshipped nature Gods. The Hokites accepted the Essenes into their midst, and they became enamored of their ways. They took the teachings of the GreatForce to heart.

In every instance in which the Atenites have settled among people who worshipped nature Gods, these people have abandoned their native religion in favor of the way of the Aten. This is because The Brotherhood of Arkashea teaches natural law. All our laws can be found in the realm of nature. They are a natural next step for those concerned with the processes of nature--with the processes of Creation. This is in contrast to many religions who must force the natives to adopt the new religion. That is because most religions are mind control and contain little or no beauty, truth, or spirituality.

In the days of that land, the waters from the skies fell with great regularity. All was well until, upon a time, there was a great change in the relationship between the Earth and the Heavens; with that change there came a great famine upon the land. The physical existence of the peoples of the land was severely threatened. Thus, A nobleman of the Hokites was sent unto Egypt to ask its Pharaoh for sustenance.

In the event of that time, a great judgment befell the land--the waters that flooded the land from the vault of the sky was more receded. The land was sorely oppressed by famine.

A noble of the land of Hebron sent his sons unto Egypt to purchase grain that the people would not die of hunger. First Minister of the House of Egypt welcomed the nobles of Hebron. Being great in the wisdom of the Earth and the skies, the House of Egypt was aware of the changes that was coming unto the Earth. He bid the Nobles to return to the land of Hebron, to tell the people of the land of Hebron to enter Egypt, that all were welcome. He bid the Nobles to tell the people of the land of Hebron that the House Of Egypt needed workers to help build its cities; that a partnership was in the offering.

The first minister of the House of Egypt did barter with the people of the land of Hebron and its neighbors. Egypt did, indeed, need people to construct its cities. The Hebrews did need all manor of sustenance. The bargain was struck. The people of the land of Hebron reentered the land of Egypt, the land of their union with the GreatForce, to serve as builders of its cities. In exchange, the House of Egypt did barter land, sheep, goats, grain, silk, and other trade goods in exchange for the labors of the Hebrews. All was well. The GreatForce did, indeed, look with favor upon the peoples of the Land of Hebron.

The bargain that was negotiated with the Hokites proved to be the very first step leading to the spiritual downfall of the children of Jacob.

The Hokites, acting as representative for all who entered Egypt from the land of Hebron and its neighbors, accepted the terms of the pact. Thus, representatives from all 13 tribes of the land of Hebron entered unto Egypt to build its cities. Thus, a great multitude did enter the Land of Egypt. Numbered among the multitude were Amenities, Malachite's, Hittites, Hokites, Jebozites, Canaanites, Dannites, and Philistines. Among the Dannites were the twelve sons of Jacob (seed for the original 12 tribes of Israel), came they into Egypt. The names of the twelve tribes of Israel were: Joseph, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulon, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. Although the multitude were of many different peoples, the Egyptians called them Hebrews, because they were all from the land of Hebron and its neighbors.

The Hebrews executed their end of the agreement faithfully, as did the Egyptians. The Hebrews became, in effect, the middle class of Egypt. They followed, faithfully, the teachings of The Great White Brotherhood--the teachings of the Temple of The Aten. The GreatForce looked with favor upon the Hokites.

Understand that when we say the GreatForce looked with favor upon the Hokites, it is not to be taken literally. The GreatForce is not a person or an entity. It never interferes in the activities of any creatures of the Universe. It would be more accurate to say it thus: The Hebrews followed the laws of Creation as they were taught by the Arkasheans, and thereby, understood life better, and were contented. The personification of God is another of the corruptions of modern day religions. We want to make it clear that we do not accept this concept.

On the other hand, we do not mean to belittle the spirituality of the Hokites of that time. By the standards of those times, they were very advanced spiritually. To find a whole society of people striving to follow the Laws of Creation is a great thing during any period of Earth's history.

The ideal situation of the Hebrews was soon to end, however.

It was the custom in the land of Egypt to offer up the 'blood' of animals unto their many Gods--a custom remaining from the beginning when 'Man' was the original sacrifice. The people of the land of Hebron were forbidden to take part in the wanton destruction of Life--the Great Force is not, has not, and never will demand 'Blood' as a condition of favor toward its creation. The fruit does not demand the death of the tree.

With time, the people of the land of Hebron took to wife the women of Egypt. More and more the custom became the source for wives even though it was frowned upon but not forbidden by the Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood. However, with the advent of time, and with the great numbers of Egypt's women taken into the Hebrew's bloodline, the 'men' of the land of Hebron could not, or would not control their wives from the practice of 'blood letting' in sacrifice to the Old Gods of Egypt.

The people of the land of Hebron became corrupted in their attitudes toward the Aten. Bloodletting became the usual rather than the exception. Soon, the Hebrews sacrificed the 'life' of the animals. They were not satisfied with just the 'blood'. Then, with the advent of time, the people became more and more corrupt. They took to the empty ritual of feasting upon the 'Death' of their sacrifice by eating the flesh of the dead animal, and did hold revelry as a part of their worship.

There was great abomination before the eyes of the GreatForce in the land of Egypt. Its people became 'dust' in the face of justice, in the face of charity, in the face of righteousness, in the face of honor, and in the face of good workmanship.

The GreatForce was pained at the sight of the perversity that became within the House of the Aten. Totally avoiding the teachings of the Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood, the Priests of the Temples of the Aten were empty in the face of understanding, and in the face of the GreatForce.

Those who refused the perversity of the Hebrews were soon forgotten in the face of the society. Excluded were they in all things. Those who were responsible for the souls of men were corrupted for the sake of political power. They turned the temples of the Aten into a market place of blood sacrifice. They did set money changers in the outer halls of the Temples. And, they did, themselves, barter in the GreatForce's greatest gift--Life. Life became not worth the living if a man did not share in the perversity of the Hebrews.

The House of Egypt was dishonored by the bargain struck between Egypt and the people of the land of Hebron. Neither would they take counsel from the Priests of Amen Re, nor the First Minister of the House of Egypt to honor the bargain. Work in the cities all but stopped, and the workmanship was sorely lacking. Carvings were shallow, shoring did fall killing men.

Many factors led to the downfall of the Hebrews. Firstly, the Hebrew men began to take Egyptian women as their wives. Then, they began to accept, and even participate in, the religious practices of these women--in particular, bloodletting. Why the Hebrew men choose to condone this behavior is unknown. Perhaps they wanted their wives to be happy. Perhaps they wanted to keep peace within their households. Perhaps they thought it unimportant. Perhaps they had already turned their back on the GreatForce and its teachings. Regardless of what the Hebrews thought, the participation in blood sacrifice was an utter abomination in the eyes of the GreatForce. The Hebrews had the wisdom to know that this behavior was inappropriate, yet, in their bemusement, they continued. The fact that they knew it was wrong only served to make the offense more unforgivable. The Hebrews had begun, of their own free will, to turn away from their promised future of great light, to turn away from the thinking processes that kept them on the path of Arkashea, to turn away from the GreatForce, itself!

The corruption continued. Through their pact with the Egyptians, the Hebrews had become quite well off materialistically. This enabled them to lead a very decadent life-style, which they did. Life became, as it remains today for so many, a game in which he who has the most toys, conquers the most women, and wields the most power wins.

Orgies and drug abuse were the norm. All morals and wisdom were thrown to the wind in the mad quest for more money, more power, and more pleasure. As their materialistic attitudes grew, the spirituality of the Hebrews declined proportionally.

Still further, the Hebrews dishonored their commitments to the house of Egypt. Their work in the cities reflected their attitudes. Quality was nonexistent. Buildings fell apart, killing people. Some people refused to work at all!

What happened to the Hebrews is truly pitiable. They had started out as simple tribesman in a farming and hunting community. With the appearance of the Arkasheans, they had the opportunity to learn the most arcane secrets of the Universe. And, they had begun to walk that path.

In retrospect, the return to Egypt was just too much for them, however. It was a life-style they had never known, and, from a spiritual viewpoint, were unable to cope with. The Hebrews became seduced and jaded by Egyptian society.

Understand that Egyptian society was not very spiritual. No one cared about each other. All anyone cared about was bettering themselves materialistically. If you got in their way, you were stepped on--too bad for you. In many respects it was much like life is in a big city today. A lot of violence, a lot of drugs, a lot of poverty, a lot of hatred, and a lot of despair.

What is even more pitiable is that so little has changed in the world since then.
Many people still follow the same path as the Hebrews.

Understand that we are condemning neither the people from the land of Hebron, nor their materialistic life-style. We are only saying that you cannot serve two masters.

You cannot claim to be seeking equality for all of God's children, while at the same time you are buying and selling slaves. You cannot claim to be looking for a more peaceful existence, while at the same time you will do anything to put a competitor out of business, using any and all unethical means. You cannot claim spiritually while at the same time valuing money over all else, including friendship, brotherhood, peace, and even family! You cannot claim to be seeking something higher in life than the mundane existence, while at the same time you go out and experience those mundane things like sex, drugs, feasts, and other entertainments to such a degree that they become the central focus of your life.

You cannot serve two masters! Anyone who tries will most likely lose everything he has.

He will be unhappy in either world. Many seekers of wisdom become lost at this fork in the road. They are unwilling to give up the games of Earth for a chance at spirituality. They want the best of both worlds. They want to serve two masters and are unwilling to accept that this is impossible. Thus, they lose everything. Still, it is not quite true to say that they lose everything. They keep one thing at least. . . the chance to grow wise, to learn from their mistakes. Therein lies the hope of Mankind.

In truth, it is not any specific behavior of the Hebrews [The people who re-entered Egypt when the great famine struck the world] that condemned them to their fate. It was their attitude towards life. They came to value materialism over spirituality. They choose to serve themselves, and thereby materialism rather than the whole, and thereby the GreatForce, and spirituality.

The GreatForce looked in sorrow upon the downfall of a people once on the path of true wisdom. In truth, the Hebrews had sealed their own fate. Their actions showed that they wished to serve only their own excessive egos. As such, The Great Force granted them their desire. The Hebrews would be free to reap the harvest they had sown!

From this point on, the history of the Hebrews [the thirteen tribes from the land of Hebron] becomes, as far as seekers of wisdom are concerned, a lesson in how not to act. As we shall see, their history shows that, again and again, the Hebrews' excessive egos, false beliefs, materialistic ways, and negative attitudes repeatedly brought them painful experiences.

Thus, in the face of this perversity, the Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood took his people, took their herds of sheep, of goats, of camels, of kids, and all their possessions out of the land of Egypt. Sorrow was in the face of all hearts at the loss of all their brethren--the twelve tribes of the people of the land of Hebron. Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood, leader of the thirteenth tribe of the people of the land of Hebron excepted in his heart the news from a 'vision' that the brethren's of the twelve tribes would never again be reunited. For, in the face of the Great Force, they did turn away from the path of righteousness. Condemned are they into the hell of their own thoughts. Their House shall be an empty House. Their abomination would continue for more than a thousand years.

In a 'vision' the Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood was instructed to take his people out of Egypt. The GreatForce was soon to bend the backs of those who turned away from Him.

Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood took those faithful to the Aten (the 13th tribe--the Essenes) out of the land of Egypt. He was told that the 13th tribe would never again be reunited with the other 12 tribes that had re-entered the land of Egypt. We must now take care not to confuse ourselves, least we make the error of thinking that the other 12 tribes consisted only of what is now known as the 12 tribes of Israel.

When a person studies the laws of the Universe they become very wise. They begin to be able to see things that elude others. Sometimes it is mystical wisdom that allows this. Other times it is simply good sense--an understanding of people and their behavior.

Thus, it did not take a genius to know that the Hebrews were following a 'bad' path. It did not take a genius to know that the Egyptians would not put up with the Hebrews and their unacceptable behavior forever. It did not take a genius to know that the future of the Hebrews was dark. Thus, the sadness in the hearts of those of the Great White Brotherhood. It was with both, sadness and understanding that the Great White Brotherhood parted ways with the other twelve tribes of the land of Hebron.

The Hebrews were too busy with their games to pay attention to words of warning from the Great White Brotherhood. Nor did they heed the signs of discontent from the House of Egypt.

Then, one day, the Great White Brotherhood was no longer there. From the Hebrews' point of view, they lost touch with the thirteenth tribe. They knew not what became of them. [Thus, the lost thirteenth tribe]

From the Arkasheans' point of view, however, the needs of the situation demanded that they part company with the other twelve tribes of the land of Hebron. They knew of the existence and of the whereabouts of the twelve tribes, but they never rejoined them. The twelve tribes had left the spiritual path. [Thus, the lost twelve tribes]

Lo, in the face of time, the House of Egypt became disenchanted with the affairs between the Hebrews and the affairs of Egypt. He set taskmasters over the people of the land of Hebron to complete their bargain to build the cities of Egypt.

The nobles of Hebron soon recanted their bargain with the House of Egypt. They did send a plea to the House of Egypt that the bargain had been fulfilled over the years. They had, indeed, built many cities in the land of Egypt. But, the House of Egypt fell deaf ears upon the pleas of the Hebrews. Pharaoh and his sons did set greater cities to be built in the land of Egypt. The backs of the Hebrews did, indeed, bend under the taskmasters.

Thus, the people of the land of Hebron lost contact with one of their tribes. Lost also, was their Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood. The thirteenth tribe, the Essenes, left Egypt in the face of the perversity of the twelve tribes of the land of Hebron. Thus, the thirteenth tribe of the land of Hebron escaped the bondage under the House of Egypt.

In time, as been foretold in Pharaoh's vision, the house of Egypt grew tired of beseeching the Hebrews to honor their end of the bargain. Egypt sent soldiers and taskmasters to force the Hebrews to work. Ironically, the Egyptians used the wages that would have been paid to the Hebrews to pay the very soldiers needed to force the Hebrews to work!

The Hebrew nobles appealed to the Egyptians that over the years the bargain had been fulfilled. It was true that the Hebrews had built many cities, but since the contract had been agreed on as never ending, the Egyptians were not to be swayed--they denied fulfillment of the contract. Over time, the situation worsened, and the once proud Hebrews became slaves!

The misery of the Hebrews was great! Hebrew turned upon Hebrew. Betrayal of other Hebrews, even members of one's own family, for favors was a commonplace occurrence. Honor and integrity were nonexistent. Many of the taskmasters themselves were Hebrews! The amassed wealth of the Hebrew nation was dissipated. This pattern of Hebrew versus Hebrew was to plague the Hebrews for ages to come.

Thus, the Egyptian's side of the story [the story of the re-entrance of the people from the land of Hebron into Egypt] was never portrayed in the writing that we today call the Jewish Bible, nor is the tale told in the Old Testament.

Because both sides of the story has never been told [it is quite easy to understand why], the truth of it can be seen that neither the old testament nor the new testament are completely accurate. In fact, they are far from completely accurate. But, that discussion will have to be put off till another time.

Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood, in a 'vision' was instructed that the GreatForce would deliver the Hebrews from under the yoke of the House of Egypt after a time of redemption. . . after all the people who turned away from the GreatForce, unto the twelfth generation, had been returned unto the LifeForce. Peace reigned within the hearts of the thirteenth tribe of the land of Hebron. Though the twelve tribes of the land of Hebron did condemn themselves into the Hell of their own thoughts unto thousands of years for having turned their collective face away from the GreatForce, they would, in time, gain the opportunity of returning into the sanctity of the Greatness of the GreatForce.

And, it came to past the sorrows of the people of the land of Hebron were multiplied under the yoke of the House of Egypt. Brother was turned against brother for the sake of favors. The Great Force laid deaf ear on the people who had turned away from Peace. The Hebrews bent sorely under the yoke of its own people. Hebrews sold other Hebrews for the slightest favor.

It came to past that twelve generations of the Hebrews who had turned away from the GreatForce rejoined their forefathers. The GreatForce had pity in heart for the wayward children of the Pharaoh of the Great White Brotherhood. He heard Pharaoh Of The Great White Brotherhood's plea to deliver his brethren from Egypt. He sent a vision to the High Priest of the Temple of the Aten to have good cheer. He would send the House of Egypt a messenger. A prince from the House of Egypt would return from the desert to cause the House of Egypt to bend before the GreatForce and send the Hebrews out from the land of Egypt.

And, it came to past that a young male child was placed in a reed basket. Its mother sorely bent under the whip of the taskmasters wished freedom for her son. The GreatForce remembered His promise to Pharaoh to deliver the Hebrews out of the land of Egypt. He caused the deed to occur during the bath of a Highborn of the House of Egypt. The Highborn lady, herself without child, took the Hebrew to heart and raised it as her own son.

It came to past that enmity existed between the Son of the House of Egypt and Moses, the Hebrew took to heart by the Highborn lady of the House of Egypt. When it became known that Moses was Hebrew, Ramses his brother from the House of Egypt caused Moses to be banished unto the desert to die. Ramses could not control the heart of his queen by making Moses a martyr in her eyes.

The GreatForce was with Moses in his travels across the desert. Nurtured by the GreatForce from within, Moses crossed the desert unto the land of Midian. There, Reuel took him as a son. Moses became protector of Reuel's flock watching over his seven daughters. Moses took Reuel's oldest daughter to wife. When Moses knew his wife, she brought forth a son called Gershom because he was a stranger in a strange land.

It came to past that while Moses was watching the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, The GreatForce caused a deep sleep to come over Moses. In his sleep, Moses was instructed in a 'vision' to return to the House of Egypt and there to cause the House of Egypt to let the Hebrews return to the home of their birth.

Moses is a perfect example of one who took advantage of the law "even the darkest soul, if he is willing to gaze into the eyes of the hound of hell, can find freedom from the hell of his own thoughts."

For now, let us say that this law sums up the New Covenant. It is a promise that any man who is willing to change can come to know 'God.'

The reason why we say that Moses took advantage of this law is that he went from what would have to be considered a potentially very materialistic life to one of high spirituality.

If Moses had not found out that he was a Hebrew, he might have ascended onto throne of Egypt. But, The House Of Egypt is an empty house. The Karma of Akhenaten's murder has not yet been fulfilled! Thus, he probably would have accomplished little.

If Moses had not become Pharaoh, he would probably have lived the life of a playboy in the Royal Court for the rest of his life.

When Moses found out that he was a Hebrew, it surely must have caused a great mental disturbance. Soon after he gained this information, he struck and murdered a taskmaster who was whipping a slave from the land of Hebron. We can only surmise that his emotions were out of control.

From these beginnings, possible ascendant to a cursed throne, and murderer, Moses went on to become a great servant of the Universal Forces. He learned and made use of many wisdom through this service. Thus, even the darkest soul can escape the hell of his own thoughts.

Still, Moses was not the angel that the world of today make him out to be. There are no angels on Earth. That is, he is not worthy of the adulation that the present-day people give to him. But, then, we believe that no man should be considered divine. Moses' accomplishments are to be lauded and his person highly respected, but not worshipped. Only the wisdom brought by the man should be worshipped--never the man himself.

The GreatForce made contact with Moses during his travels through the desert. He was taught much in preparation for the task that lay ahead of him. When the time was ripe, Moses was sent back to Egypt. Moses did indeed, through the power that was granted him by the GreatForce, succeed in convincing the Pharaoh to release the Hebrews. He led the Hebrews out of Egypt--they crossed the river Jordan and settled in the land of Canaan (It must be remembered that not all the 12 tribes of the land of Hebron followed Moses into the land of Canaan. The Amenities, the Malachite's, the Hittites, the Jebozites, and the Philistines returned to the land of Hebron. However, the House of Joseph, the House of Reuben, the House of Simeon, the House of Levi, the House of Judah, the House of Issachar, the House of Zebulon, the House of Benjamin, the House of Dan, the House of Naphtali, the House of Gad, and the House of Asher did follow Moses across the river Jordan.

The Great Force gave Moses a set of laws to help the people in their judgments. Moses, however, seeing that the people still persisted in their amoral practices perceived that they would not heed the code. Therefore, he gave them a more specific version--the Ten Commandments as we know them today. They are as follows:

1. I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me.
2. You shall make no engraven images.
3. You shall not swear falsely by the name of the Lord.
4. Observe the Sabbath day.
5. Honor your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. You shall not covet.

Moses became the leader of the people of Israel. He enforced the laws to the letter, even unto death. Obey the law or die! The Hebrews accepted the new teachings, but they did not understand their true spirit. They remained in the stubbornness of their own ways.

We, the Essenes of Old, also follow Commandments. We, however, follow a slightly different version:

  1. Let all who seek to enter into The Covenant know that all things must be done, accordingly. For, within their hearts, within their minds, and within their Souls, they must change such that they keep away from men of ill repute;
  2. They must vow and attain to hold themselves aloof from ill-gotten gain;
  3. They must not lay hands upon that which has been consecrated, or otherwise promised to The GreatForce upon the altar of the heart;
  4. Nor, shall they lay hands upon the deeds, the thoughts, nor the possessions of others--each must bear the fruits of his own labor;
  5. They make not prey of widows, neither harm a fatherless child;
  6. Distinguish, must they, between the clean and the unclean--recognize the Holy from the Profane, such that they keep the Sabbath sacred and Holy, from within the heart, in its every detail;
  7. Pay them not umbrage to the festivals and feast of the day, in accordance with the practice laid down by the Great Pharaoh who brought 'The Light' into our hearts by giving us an understanding of the Law Of All Creation;
  8. Each individual must pay their required dues in conformity with the Laws set down under the conditions of change, such that, unto each according to the needs of their purpose;
  9. To love each man his neighbor as himself;
  10. Each must they grasp the hand of the poor, the needy, and the stranger;
  11. To seek each man the welfare of his fellow, such that they give each man his proper due under the dictates of an understanding heart;
  12. To bring no charge against his neighbor in the heart, except by due process, but not to nurse grudges from day to night;
  13. To keep away from all unclean things, in accordance with what has been prescribed in each case, and with the distinctions, as set down in the Covenants between The GreatForce and its creation--Man;
  14. Nor must they sully any man the Holy Spirit within him, nor within his neighbor;
  15. Howbeit, for all that perform these acts of love in the Holiness of their hearts, their minds, and their Souls unimpaired, according to all the instructions that has been given to them, for them will The GreatForce make good His Covenant.
