The Second River

Fig. #2. The above diagram gives a fairly accurate representation of an individual's Psychological Screens and the filters that are used to change incoming data until that data has been changed to a state of corruption that is acceptable to the value system that is being used to experience the moment in question. We must remember that it is said that each individual, in his own way, must change God's commandments so he can follow them. We must also remember that the process of creating Psychological Screens is an on-going one. The strongest influence comes during the early years, when the young mind is being molded by the prime care givers and the siblings. The next level of influence comes from playmates. As the child grows, influence comes from the experiences of schools and colleges. While it is seldom accomplished, it is possible that a few Psychological Screens can come from an individual's dream levels. Such Psychological Screens, however, are very powerful. It has been known that a dream experience was so profound that its Psychological Screen was implanted upon the individual's psyche while the individual was still in his dream state. This process often explains the sudden changes that occur in individuals after certain sicknesses or accidents.
