Akhenaten's Twelfth Vision
(The Power of Language)
And, there come a time in man's being that he should seek after the great wisdom. If he be of great linage, many will have been his teachers upon time. But, even if he be not of a noble reed, no greater wisdom will he learn than the wisdom of the limits of his own tongue.
If a man is so fortunate as to have dominion over language, he has dominion over himself. Know, therefore, that the patterns of man's speech is not unlike the pattern of the weaving of a rope of grass--it comes in many strands being used one strand at a time; with each strand determining the length of the rope, and the strength of the rope, each inter-twining all that will follow. As the strands determine the length and strength of the whole, so too, does the first word limit and modify that which may follow! Each word, in turn, has its own dominion over all which came before it and over all that follows.
Know therefore, that communication is weaved into the pattern of your purpose as your thoughts are woven into the image of your symbols --one must not come before the other--least you build the tower of babble, and, thereby inherit the wind!
Know, therefore, that what you tell yourself be more important than the symbols, the thoughts, and the judgments that you give unto others! Of them shall you feast forever!
