Grand Awakening: The Continuum Of Awareness
(The Reintegration Of One's Past)

The Grand Awakening is the moment in time when an individual realizes he has just awakened from a dream, but, he also realizes he is still dreaming on another level. Of course, it must be remembered that as with all other concepts, The Grand Awakening is a continuum unto itself, in that it is multi-leveled.

To understand The Grand Awakening, we must understand the complicated cross-over (the bleeding of one level's experiences into another level) that can exist between two or more of the individual's levels of dreams, and between two or more of the individual's levels of awareness.

Using The Astral Plane Of Common Reality as a starting point in the illustration shown in Fig. #1, an individual's level #1 is considered to be that individual's Astral Plane of Common Reality. An individual's Common Reality is that place of reality within which all our everyday experiences occur.

It is important to realize that an individual's dream level is a completely different phenomenon than is the individual's level of awareness (see Fig. #2). As a single dream level can, itself, have many different dream levels, so too, each [of the dream levels], in and of itself, can have different levels of awareness attached to it. The difficulty is that it is possible to be aware of only a part of a dream experience, because of the limiting aspect of the level of awareness which controls that level of the dream. Of course, it matters if the awareness factor is limited to just one or more of the levels of that dream, and between one or more of the levels of awareness. The effects upon each are different.

The Grand Awakening is the moment when the individual realizes he has just awakened from a dream, but, he also realizes he is still dreaming on another level. He realizes the experience he just had, although very real during the experience, was nothing more than an experience on an alter-reality.

It is not unlike the dreamer awakening, after a nightmare, to find out that it was all just a dream, that nothing really happened. Just when the dreamer's nerves settle, he awakens again, only to realize that it too was just a dream. The dreamer then begins to realize the true nature of reality. He even begins to realize that he may still be dreaming the experience in which he is presently involved.

Then, with time, he begins to become aware that he is dreaming a dream of a reality wherein he is playing a major part in the happenings. It is like having the awareness of being in more than one place at the same time. He is aware of himself dreaming a dream within an alter-reality. This awareness is so strong that the awake personality begins to control the behavior of the personality that is behaving in the dream world (see Fig. #3).

Because the dreaming personality (the character in the dream) is not yet aware of the presence of the dreamer's personality (the individual that is in the process of dreaming) nor is it aware of the presence of its control, the awake personality consciously plays with the dreaming personality by controlling how he will feel, what he will say, and even what he will do. This is usually the first step in achieving the Grand Awakening. Then, in time, the so-called dream personality becomes aware that he is acting his part in the dream, and at the same time, he is someplace else dreaming the things he is doing in the dream. It is a case where there is just a smidgen of realization that he is really two people at the same time--the dreamer and the dreaming personality.

Here comes the first test. If the individual does not mind accepting information from a seeming outside source, all will be well. If the individual does, indeed, mind, if the individual is of the nature that he wants to be his own man, free of all outside influences, then he will become angry at the controls of the dreamer. He is, in a way only fighting himself; but, he does not realize that. This anger will cause the individual to stop all movement toward the Grand Awakening until he changes himself such that he is no longer an island unto himself--usually, the individual will awaken from all dreams/nightmares. The Grand Awakening can only be reached by walking the path which mortal man cannot walk alone. Even thought the individual is really walking by himself, he is not walking alone because of the two different parts of him--the dreamer and the dreaming personality.

The Grand Awakening is a very special moment for the seer. To achieve it, a number of things must happen at the very same time. The first is when the dreamer personality is fully aware of the dreaming personality. The second is when the dreaming personality becomes fully aware of the dreamer personality. The third is when both are aware that each is separate from the other. And finally, the fourth is when both realize that not only are they separate, they are separate in such a way that both are able to function independently of the other.

When all four of these things occur at the same time, it is called The Grand Awakening. It is when the dreamer's personality functions independently from the dreaming personality and the dreaming personality functions independently from the dreamer's personality, even though both are fully aware of the other's existence in the other world, and even though both come under the control of a single Mind. It is the case of having one mind governing two bodies, one on each level of existence. This is very rare, indeed. The very early beginnings of this process in today's world would be called lucid dreaming.

Needless to say, the individual goes through a number of hair-raising moments before he achieves The Grand Awakening. It is frightening to have the concept of Reality shattered, and be left with no understanding of what is occurring. Some never reach that point because they try to walk, by themselves, the path that mortal man may not walk alone. Confusion becomes too great for the waking personality to bear. They either freeze up in fear and go no further, or they, not too quietly, go crazy. It all depends on their willingness to be guided. If they are an island unto themselves, they will seek to walk The Path to the Tree Of Life by themselves. The only counseling they will hear is their own.

The ancient Magi knew all this from their own experiences with The Grand Awakening. The excerpt from Arkashea's Book Of Earth tells us the Magi did not look upon life from this world's point of view. They accepted both the dreamer and the dreaming personalities as a part of the game called life. They knew that the phenomena of both the dreamer and the dreaming personalities was nothing more than the effects of the Broken Cross upon Matter.

The Mystics of old Egypt looked at life from the other side of creation [from the Ba's point of view]. They did not look at life from Man's [from the Ka's] limited point of view [the view of what they could accomplish within the dream after having reached The Grand Awakening]; to do so would limit them to just controlling the happening upon the different levels of dreams. The Mystics looked at life from the point of view of trying to understand Recursive Dialusion, itself. They were not satisfied with just controlling the dream; they wished to learn the how of all of creation (see Fig. #4). An added benefit of having experienced the Ba's point of view while being aware of the Ka's point of view was that from Man's point of view, the individual knew that life was but an illusion brought forth by one of the three Graces--Isis (giver of life). Death, itself, did not exist. Death was but a process of going from one level of Maya to another.

As an aid to understanding, we thought it necessary to print an excerpt from The Book Of Earth--The Descent. The excerpt speaks of the journey made by Amulious (Om-u-lious) as he fell from the pinnacle of purity into the trap of Maya. Amulious is the first entity who descended from the heights of Deluge only to trap himself in the pits of Maya. We will print the excerpt in its entirety, without comments. Again, the true seeker will be able to glean much from within.

The Descent

As there are levels in Illusion, so too, are there levels of the Fabric of Creation. The unit of creation is the Continuum. All threads of the Fabric are, in their own right, a Continuum which is, itself, divided. It is a continuum of diversity, Dual in its nature, Triune in its effects. This is the Godhead of the Seven Rivers of Creation, within which lies the six points of power.

As we leave Deluge and enter Primedial we find, unlike the World of Illusion's reality, the Ka is not solid. Emotions do not exist. Thoughts are the deeds which bind us. Behavior, known in the World of Illusion, does not exist. Interaction is a special type of thinking experienced as reality's equal. The thought is the karmic tie which condemns the individual to experience the Lower Levels of the Fabric of Creation. As an individual thinks, so will an individual begin his journey, unto forever, into the illusion of his thoughts.

As the individual leaves Deluge via the trap of his thoughts, he finds himself in a state of separation. He finds himself separated from himself, from his true nature, and from the Godhead of Creation. This feeling of separation will serve as the main Force haunting his existence unto forever. A deep sadness overtakes the individual. It forces him to seek that part of his past which was forever lost. Not until the individual returns to Deluge shall he again be whole. Therein came the first Trade-off. For the sake of uniqueness the individual lost the Godhood which was his inheritance. The individual finds himself trapped in The Grand Maya called Orthodontiks.

Trapped, deep within his thoughts, the individual perceives naught but Diversity. Uniqueness has, indeed claimed its prize. The individual finds himself unable to separate himself, nor his thought's energy, from his first Ka. Gone is most of his former freedom. Gone is most of his Godlike powers. His new Ka limits his mobility. All he has left are his thoughts and his ability to create new Kas within which to experience still lower levels of the Fabric. And, so he does.

The individual descends into his new creation only to find he left more of himself behind. The sadness within him grows much stronger. To make matters worse, loneliness invades the new Ka. The pain of his loneliness and the sadness of separation only serve as unrelenting harpies. Still, the harpies drive the individual into still deeper levels of the new creation called the Illusion of reality.

As the individual looks about, he perceives himself caught in a creation of diversity. He finds himself among myriad dimensions of un-created futures, none of which recognizes his right to exist. As he tried to return to the familiarity of Orthodontiks, he discovered an impassable barrier. Again, his thoughts and their claim to uniqueness had their effects. There was only one way to go, still deeper into the Illusion.

Again, the individual created the necessary Ka within which to experience this new level of grossness. Again, he left more of himself behind. Again, the pain of separation grew. To make matters worse, the individual found he could no longer remember his existence in Deluge. His loneliness forced him to know there was more to his past than what he remembered with his limited consciousness. His now heavy Ka seemed to have an inner knowledge he could not control--he could not quite remember, nor could he forget. He had, indeed, gone into oblivion.

The individual found himself caught within a very dark state of existence. He found it teeming with diverse energies of seeming unlimited potentials. But, he was no longer alone. He shared his existence with Matter as gross as was his unholy Ka. All about him were myriad collections of non-darkness. He discovered, as were his own thoughts, there were divisions in this non-darkness. The divisions were divided along myriad veins, all of which were more gross. Each was a dimension unto itself.

The individual created still another unholy Ka, within which to experience the new non-darkness. He discovered his new Ka was by far more of a trap than anything he had ever experienced. The first thought of a playground had turned into a circus of horror. For the first time his pain of loneliness, his pain of separation had a physical dimension to them. The first thought within this new Ka forced him to experience the first of his many to come emotions--the loneliness of separation. He wept for the want to be freed from his own desires. He longed to fill the empty place which seemed to grow deep inside this new physical Ka. He hadn't realized it until now, when he left Deluge he also left Love behind him. Try as he might, he could not find it in this new creation. The only thing he had left was the need to ease the pain. Perhaps his next creation would. Again, he created.

Deep within the non-darkness, the new Ka experienced clusters, specks of Matter which glowed with the fires of physical creation. He discovered small specks of brightness circling larger specks, who, themselves, circled still larger specks of brightness. The cluster of brightness swirled and pulsated about its center. As it did, it created winds of gravity which brought forth still a new creation called Time. The waves of Gravity seemed to control all which existed within its Universe--even his new Ka. Not only did he no longer have control over his emotions, his fate now placed him under the control of the laws of his Illusion. Still, he created.

Caught by the swirling motion of the Universe, the new Ka had very limited power to choose his future. He found himself under the dominion of a new continuum--the Time/Space continuum. Gone were his memories of Deluge. Gone were his memories of Orthodontiks. Still, ever present was the awareness of the emptiness which never stopped growing within him. He discovered he could no longer remember what he had learned on the upper levels--he became easily bemused. To make matters still worse, he discovered, no matter what he did, he could no longer free himself from the effects of his deeds. They were like roots which took hold into the world of the physical. As much as he disliked it, his roots dragged him still deeper into the lower levels of the Fabric of Creation. Still, he created.

Now, his process of creation became fraught with confusion. His new Ka limited him still further. He found himself in a cluster of brightness consisting of Galaxies. He discovered that as the Universe spun about its center, so too, did the cluster of Galaxies spin about theirs. Try as he might, he could not avoid that huge place of non-darkness we call a Black Hole. Somewhere in his Illusion came the memory, the non-darkness was the door which led him into this star-system. With hope in his heart, he approached the door of escape which his thoughts promised. It was not to be. He discovered a barrier which would not let him pass. His inner voice echoed the Law of Dialusion--The Force That Is Evoked To Create A Phenomenon Is The Same Force That Maintains The Phenomenon Unto Forever. As he approached the door to freedom, he experienced a new creation--Fear. It drove him away from his path to freedom. It drove him still deeper into his Illusion. The Double-gate forced him to create yet another Ka to experience the still more gross Matter found within a single galaxy.

Within his new Ka the individual discovered the laws of his new level of Creation. Alas, as he descended deeper into the grave, he discovered more and more he was either bemused or confused. Still, deep within the center of his being, was the longing to belong. He learned to cry. His deeds became many. His thoughts became more and more clouded with a pain that constantly mocked his claim to uniqueness. He was, indeed, alone.

While his galactic Ka allowed him free travel within his chosen galaxy, it refused him the experience of its parts, the solar systems. To prevent himself from becoming eternally trapped, he again created. Finally, a glimpse of understanding came too late. He found his new Ka even more imperfect than were all the others. Now, he learned the meaning of physical pain.

With tears in his eyes, with the physical pain of the loneliness of separation, with the memory of greatness all but gone, he discovered himself to be Man. And, he discovered Man needed a place to rest his feet. But, the limitations of Man refused him his desires. He knew not the nature of his next Ka. He knew only his level of bemusement, his pain of loneliness, and his lust after escape from his unending pain would throw caution to the winds. He wished for others of his kind with whom he could commune. With the thought came the continuum's divisions of his new Species. Divided was he and his species unto two parts. The male and the female of the species Man came into being. While each drew to the other, each drew, also, all other aspects of the continuum.

Man found himself upon an unimportant speck of dirt floating in a sea of creation. And, because of his uncontrolled thoughts, Man found himself trapped within the most imperfect Ka ever created. Now, Man knew the cycles of life and death.

To the Mystic, life was a state where the individual wrapped himself in an endless cocoon of multi-layered dreams. This was the mechanism which made it possible for many individuals to freely exist on the same level of experience, on the same level of awareness, and on the same level of observation and still have complete individuality within common reality. Within this multi-layered cocoon, each individual was able to experience more than one level of reality. Within the wrappings, there existed a level of reality for each layer of the multi-layered cocoon.

It was much like the dreamer and the dreaming personalities spoken of earlier. Each is busy playing his own important part of the stage play that is going on within his own respective level of awareness. Yet, he is still acting and reacting to a common happening we call common reality. It is common reality which allows each individual to interact with each other and with the many pawns of the Earth Experience. Until The Grand Awakening, each personality-level remains truly unaware of the other personality-levels of existence.

The dream has many levels to it. Each level has its own Double-Gate and its own Grand Awakening. Earth, as we know it, is the lowest of them all. It is, so far, the state where the dreamer is at his lowest point in the Fabric Of Awareness.

As Man trapped himself in the layers of Maya, more veils of forgetfulness dropped. The lower he descended, the more he became restricted in his ability to remember his origin. However, as Man worked through his Karma, a task which sometimes took many lives, he became able to control his experiences to a much greater degree. As that degree of control reached inward, into his alter-realities, he released himself from the cycle of life and death. He then rose to a state of little or no layers of illusions.

As Man perfected his control over his destiny, he found he could reach a state of awareness where he was completely free of dreams. We use the phrase free of dreams because the individual no longer believes the experiences to be merely dreams. To the individual, the experiences have become other lives on other levels of reality. In this state of awareness, the ancient mystic was able to have Dual or Tri-awareness.

In the state of Dual-awareness or Tri-awareness, the dreamer became aware of himself consciously on two or three different dream levels. The basic difference was that each part of the individual, although still in the dream, was able to speak freely to the other parts that were higher and/or lower than himself on the dream levels. With this, information was passed back and forth.

This is like an individual going to sleep and being aware that he is awake in his dream state. And, at the same time, having the dream personality aware that he is only a dream body, a creation in someone else's dream. With this new awareness, each begins to talk to the other freely. Information is passed back and forth. The dreamer speaks to that part of himself that is in the dream. It, in turn, not only listens and obeys, it talks back. Quite often, the dreamer will gain needed information from the dreaming personality that he could not hope to get while in his awake state.

In this fashion, one level of the dreamer aids other levels of the dreamer to free themselves from the power of the dream. In so doing, they reintegrate into only one level. After the reintegration, there is no longer a difference between the two dream levels. In fact, on that level, there is no dream. One mind controls two levels of existence and two bodies, one body for each level.

In time, after learning much control, that part of himself which once was a dream body, a creation in someone else's dream, is able to be utilized to exist on the same level as that of the original dreamer.

Depending upon the degree of control which is achieved by the individual who has gone through the Grand Awakening, and depending upon the purpose for the individual's bi-location, the individual's second Ka may or may not be able to be seen by he who is visited. In any case, the visited is certainly aware that he is being visited. In most cases, he is also aware of who is doing the visiting. It all depends if the visitor wishes to be seen or felt by the visited.

It is only a matter of time, and the matter of learning much more control by the individual involved, before the visitor begins to communicate freely with the visited, and the visited responds to the visitor. In many circumstances, the visited can communicate with the visitor even if the visited is not developed. All that is needed is for the visitor to be sufficiently developed such that he is able to make his presence known to the visited. Once the visited has accepted the presence of the visitor, from that side of life, the visitor can then plant in the visited the urge to speak. If all are willing, it will happen.

When this finally does occur, the Magic Circle, that which rests upon the Broken Cross, will be complete. Needless to say, both the dreamer and the dreaming personality must hold sacred their goal of becoming one with the Universe. Should either become trapped in their own desires of self-fulfillment, their goals will not be achieved. Hence, celibacy is required before achieving this level. With time, the individual comes to realize that when he allows his body, his thoughts, or his desires to become drawn into any type of sexual play, or when he allows his body, his thoughts, or his desires to be drawn towards a life's mate, his spirit is drawn toward the affairs of earth. Again, the basic law that applies is as follows: One cannot serve more than one master at the same time.

First Law of Purity

He who possesses nothing can be possessed by nothing. He who is possessed by nothing is possessed by The Great Force. He who is possessed by The Great Force is all things.

With the greater vision of The Grand Awakening, the Magi was able to visualize the Trap of Maya. Once the individual achieved the Grand Awakening of the highest level of awareness he was free to return to Earth as a Co-creator. As a Co-creator, the individual could help others free themselves by bringing down needed wisdom. Or, if the powers of the Golden Ankh allowed, the individual could leave the Earth Experience entirely by an upward mobility transmutation. While he would not be allowed to leave his species, he would be allowed to experience another planet. He might even be able to transmutate and become a member of a higher order of the Family of Man. An example of an upward mobility transmutation would be if a lower form of life, such as an ape, were to transmute upward to the next higher form of life to become one of the great apes, such as a Man. In the case of Man, his higher transmutation would take him to a higher form of life within the Family of Man.

In the process of achieving the Grand Awakening, as an individual lives his many lives, during the dreaming experience, because of Karmic memories and bemusement, the individual doesn't always fully disconnect his Ka upon entering the dream reality. When this occurs, from common reality's point of view, the individual may be in the process of either talking or walking in his sleep. What is actually happening is that the observed behavior is really a cross-over from what is happening in the dream reality. The individual does not always remember that this was done especially if he is such that he does not remember the dream in question. If he does remember the dream in question, then he will only remember the happenings of the dream. He will not remember the happenings of common reality.

Under normal circumstances, when the Ka goes to sleep, the Ba disconnects the Emotional Interface Interchange, forcing the Ka to lie still--without sufficient mobility to move about Common Reality. In this state, the Ba leaves the Ka (a true Astration) and continues into another reality--a reality which is perceived (by the Ka) as a dream. At the end of a specific time cycle, the Ba is brought back to the Ka (by the laws of the Broken Cross) where its experiences in common reality continue. The individual continues to live his life without giving his nightly Astration experience a second thought.

The disconnection of the Ka during the Ka's regeneration cycle (The regeneration cycle is the recharging cycle. It is that time when the Ka is being recharged. It is a time for the Ka to rest and to heal itself from the day's wear-and-tear, so to speak) is necessary because during the recharging cycle, it is the Ba's alter-reality experiences which govern the movement of the Ka. If, in the dream, the Ba is walking in front of a car, there is no harm to the Ba. If the Ka was not disconnected, it, too, would walk (or might walk) in front of a car. Needless to say, the Ka could or would be killed.

It is written that I must separate myself from myself if I am to experience individuality...
It is said that I must not have awareness of this separation if I am to experience reality within my different levels of awareness.
It is written that each level of observation will create my differing levels of reality, each having its own subset of laws which governs it apart from all others...
It is said that from my true reality will I be able to see myself upon other planes of existence, upon other levels of the awareness of myself, within my dream of the separation from myself.
It is written that each of my so-called higher levels will be shielded from my lower levels, to maintain the illusion of absolute individuality within the boundaries of each level's illusions...
It is said that time honors me by giving me the awareness of its presence, as I honor it by allowing the presence of time's wisdom to modify my dreams. Still, I walk the road to self in all its glory.
