Each, in its own way, is seed for the ancient Magi's fascination with the sacredness of birds, in general. Birds played an important role in ancient mythology. There was a great difference in the direction the bird took when it approached or when it departed a physical body. It made the difference between Life & Death, and between Astration & Projection. It also determined if a person was of Noble Blood or of the untouchables.
